Having "big ears" is a common concern with a simple solution -- otoplasty, or ear surgery. Often times, overly projected ears are misconstrued as being disproportionately sized for a person's head. In truth, the issue lies in the way the ear is shaped, and by creating a new helical fold or adjusting the placement of the conchal bowl, the ears can be perceived to be much smaller. This was the case for this 24-year-old patient, who is thrilled with the outcome of her ear surgery with Dr. Wise.
