Although hair loss typically happens at the top and crown of the scalp, sometimes the sides can be affected as well, as was the case for this 29-year-old patient. Since she was used to wearing her hair short, she opted for a hair transplant with Dr. Wise utilizing the Follicular Unit Extraction technique. 2,500 grafts were transplanted to the top and sides of her scalp. 6 months post-op, she reports back with a fuller head of hair, happy to have underwent the procedure. Even more growth is expected by the one year mark.
