To begin the treatment, an anesthetic is applied to help ensure comfort. The Ultherapy device is placed on your skin to deliver the ultrasound energy. You will feel the energy penetrating into your skin. This sensation may feel uncomfortable or unusual to you, but it is not painful and lasts only as long as the short procedure does. For most patients, only one treatment is needed, although some may benefit from additional treatments if their skin is more lax or after time has passed to continue their results.

With Ultherapy® treatment, most patients do not experience intense pain but they will certainly feel the procedure. The intensity of the sensation varies from patient to patient and depends on several factors, including the area treated, the settings used, and the frequency of application to each area. Oral pain medication or local anesthetic can be used to minimize discomfort. Treatment is customized for every patient.

How Long is Recovery?

Since Ultherapy® is completely non-invasive, no downtime is required. Some patients experience slight redness, which usually resolves within an hour. Patients can apply makeup and return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure.

When Will I See Results?
